2017 Domaine Michel Bedouet Muscadet Sèvre et Maine 'Expression du Pallet'

Loire Valley White - Melon de Bourgogne. Le Pallet is home to the Domaine Michel Bedouet and their vineyards. The vines have an average age of 40 years, and the wines are kept on lees until ready for bottling. The lees and large stainless steel tank it matures in, keeps the wine markedly fresh until the time of bottling. Preserved lemon, bruised lemon, grapefruit, green melon, oyster shell and sea spray all lift from the glass. The palate is wonderfully salty and briny with lemon pith and is very textural. The palate shows almost no age.
