2017 Domaine Bart Fixin 1er Cru 'Les Hervelets'

Premier Cru Red Burgundy - Pinot Noir. The pemier cru vineyards Les Arvelet and Les Hervelets can both be named Les Hervelets in a catchall. Bart has parcels in both. While Fixin is masculine, rustic and on a larger scale, Les Hervelets is renowned for being feminine and fragrant, and often compared with Chambolle Musigny. Slightly higher toned with a glazed cherry character that lifts the wines' aromatics beautifully. The palate is bright with granular tannins. "An ultra-fresh nose combines discreet wood with purple fruit, newly turned earth and a touch of the sauvage. The lighter weight and vibrant flavors exude a subtle salinity on the well-detailed, clean and focused finish.
