2017 Domaine Buisson Charles Chablis 1er Cru 'Les Lys'

Premier Cru White Burgundy - Chardonnay. Located on Chablis’ left bank (of the Serein River) within the greater Premier Cru Vaillons, with an almost north easterly aspect. Patrick of Buisson Charles describes Les Lys and Vaillons as not having the power of Montmains nor the balance of Cote de Lechet...it is the most discreet and delicate, and while it takes the longest to evolve, that is where it’s magic is. Jasper Morris MW describes Les Lys as almost always having a saliva-inducing iodine character. "As one would expect, this presents a completely different aromatic profile with its combination of sea breeze, quinine and iodine nuances. The mouthfeel of the lighter weight flavors is quite fine, indeed the word delicate is appropriate while the delicious and stony finish is clean, dry and refreshing.
